Billing questions
Anything about invoices, seats or refunds — ask billing@alder.co and you will get a real reply.
Anyone who signs in and can see the ledger. Your accountant does not count — that seat is free and permanent. Clients viewing an invoice through the payment portal do not count either.
Pay for the year and you get ten months. Switch to annual mid-term and we credit whatever you have already paid against it. There is no multi-year lock-in and no setup fee.
Alder tells you before it becomes a problem — for example when your third seat is invited. Upgrades are prorated to the day and take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next renewal so nothing disappears mid-month.
Yes, for any reason, by replying to any email we have sent you. No exit survey, no retention call. The thirty-day trial comes first, so most people never need it.
Registered charities and community interest companies pay half. If you are a single-person studio in your first year of trading, write to us and Solo is free until you file your first VAT return.
